Larkin is a California native, now raising his 3yr old daughter in Brooklyn, New York with his family. He is an Emmy award-winning cinematographer across the genres of narrative, commercial and documentary filmmaking. His works in feature, commercial, and short form have made waves at SXSW, Sundance, DOCNYC, tribeca and many other festivals around the world. With the technical knowhow and a unique eye for dynamic visual storytelling, Larkin is highly sought out for his abilities in 2D, 3D and VR. Larkin’s career boosted in 2014 after lensing the Film “Animals” and being recognized at SXSW with a jurors award and articles in Indiewire, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, and Complex Magazine.
His commercial clients include Ford Motors, NASA, Nike, Bose, Microsoft, Bud Light, Samsung, Flamingo Estate, T-mobile, the US army, Northrup Grumman, and Apple to name a few. His 360 coverage of the 2018 NBA Finals project “Follow my lead,” which won the Emmy, lead him to pursue a passion of immersive and creative new forms of narrative. Most recently, a long campaign with Flamingo Estate, Cole Haan, Simon Real estate and other elevated lifestyle brands has keep his career surrounded with new ways to tell stories in fashion.
Graduated from University of California Santa Cruz with a dual degree in Film Production and Anthropology.
